Wolf Creek Saw Shop warrants its parts to be free from defect in material and workmanship under normal use and service for a period of 90 days from date of purchase. Meteor, Hyway, and New West Products parts are warranted to be free from defect in material and workmanship under normal use and service for a period of 1 year from date of purchase. Please see “cylinder warranty” below for more information.
Liability under this warranty is limited to replacement of parts or refund. This warranty shall not apply to any part which Wolf Creek Saw Shop, in its sole judgment, determines whether the part has been subject to misuse or improper installation. Wolf Creek Saw Shop shall not be liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising out of misuse, abuse, lack of reasonable care, or misapplication of our products. Porting, modifying, or grinding on parts voids the warranty.
If you have a warranty claim please contact us at [email protected]. The buyer is responsible for shipping cost to return the defective part to us, and for the cost to ship the replacement part to the buyer.
Cylinder Warranty
Proper installation is critical, and should be done by a trained chain saw mechanic to OEM. specifications. Most piston failures are due to operator error, which includes air leaks, incorrect carburetor settings, incorrect fuel mixture or improper air filter maintenance. To qualify for our cylinder warranty you must perform the necessary steps to ensure the saw is air tight by performing a vacuum and pressure test on the crankcase, and also set the top end RPM’s of the saw to OEM specifications. Parts must be properly lubed during assembly and correct fuel/oil mixture ran in the saw. Porting and modifying cylinders and pistons can be fun but it does void the warranty. If you are going to port or modify a cylinder we recommend using a Nikasil plated cylinder. Titanikel is extremely hard and will usually chip if you try to port it. Please don’t port cylinders and ask for a warranty replacement if the plating chips.
